It was matured in a single first-fill sherry butt, which was hand-selected by Master Distiller Alan Winchester. This whisky has a rich and complex flavor profile, with notes of dried fruit, spice, and oak. On the nose, it has aromas of raisins, figs, and dark chocolate, with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of dried apricots, sultanas, and toffee, along with a subtle hint of smoke and a touch of oak. The finish is long and warming, with a spicy kick and a hint of sweetness.
